About the Practice

My Maker is a multidisciplinary design practice based in San Antonio, working across art, architecture, and landscape.
Each project begins with attention to what is already there—the character of the place, the people who use it, the natural systems at work, and the conditions that have shaped it over time. Rather than applying a fixed style, we allow these observations to inform what belongs, what needs attention, and where new relationships can be made.
We believe good design should do more than occupy a place beautifully. It should contribute to it—supporting the people, landscapes, and living systems that share it, while creating spaces that remain useful, meaningful, and cared for over time.

My approach to design has been shaped across disciplines—from fine art and architecture to construction, landscape, and the study of natural systems.
Each has taught me to see a place differently: to notice what is present, understand how it is used, consider how its parts relate, and recognize the larger systems it belongs to.
My Maker grew from bringing those ways of seeing together. Today, I use them to approach each project as a whole—balancing imagination with practicality, and creating work that responds thoughtfully to the people, places, and living systems it will become part of.
